Payment Methods and Credit Card Authorizations

We accept Visa ,  MasterCard, Paypal and Moneybookers (aka Skril).  We  require the 3 digit code on the back of your credit card and use address verification to protect against fraud. Please make sure that when entering your credit card information that the BILLING address is what your credit card company has on file for you. If it is entered incorrectly or does not match what is on record for you at your bank, your order will not be processed and may result in your credit card company placing an authorization on your account.
We also accept Paypal and Moneybookers which may be more userful for our international customers. We reserve the right to cancel any order suspected as fraud and will report any fraudulent transactions to the proper authorities.

** Please note that your credit card information is encrypted when you enter it. We cannot see your credit card information and when it is authorized for your order, we do not have the ability to bill you for additional styles you may want to add to your order.

Email updates for orders, invoices and shipping:
When you place an order with Designershoes.com, you will be emailed several updates or confirmations. The first will be an order confirmation, which will arrive within minutes of placing your order. The next will be an email with an approximate shipping time for your order and will look like this:

Thank you for your order with, DesignerShoes.com. The item(s) you have ordered are expected to ship in about X business days or less. When we ship your order, you will receive an email from us with your tracking number from UPS or USPS depending on your shipping method.
We strive to keep our inventory quantities correct at our Boston and satellite warehouses but sometimes they are not. In the event that we are not able to ship you the merchandise you have ordered, we will notify you within 4 business days via email and cancel that item off of your order. Your credit or debit card will not be charged until your item(s) is shipped, at which time we will email you tracking information. Before your item(s) is shipped, your debit or credit card statement may show what looks like a deduction from your account. Please note, these funds have not been deducted but are being reserved within your account to ensure your order can be processed. This is known as an "authorization hold" and typically lasts from 3-7 days, depending upon the policy of your bank. In the event your order is canceled due to merchandise that is not available, your credit card information will be VOIDED in our system.

We will typically email you this within 1 business day of placing your order. If you have not received this email, you may want to make sure that you have entered your email address correctly and check your SPAM filter. If you have not received this email but were instead emailed an invoice, then your order is now on its way to the warehouse for shipping.

When your order is complete and ready for shipping, you will be emailed an invoice. If you chose UPS, your tracking number will be at the bottom of the invoice with the exception of paypal customers whose tracking numbers are entered separately. If you chose USPS as your shipping method, you will receive an invoice WITHOUT a tracking number, as they are not auto generated and have to manually entered afterwards. Once we have generated a USPS tracking number, you will be emailed another invoice with the tracking number. This typically takes 1 business day from when you receive your invoice.
